Kālāntakā mūrti of Bhagavān Śiva ( Kālāntakā - Ender of Kala / Death).



When Yama, the King of Death, came to take away the prāņa of 16 year old Märkandeya, the troubled child hugged a Śivalingam tightly praying to Śiva for salvation. Yama threw his noose around the lingam to restrain Märkandeya. The moment the Pāsha touched the lingam, however, Śiva Himself rose from within, struck him with his Trishula and kicked his chest. The lord of gods killed Death itself to save his devotee, and was thus called Kālāntakā.
ॐ त्र्यम्बकं यजामहे सुगन्धिं पुष्टिवर्धनम् ।
उर्वारुकमिव बन्धनान् मृत्योर्मुक्षीय मामृतात् ॥

 The original Arthashastra manuscript is stored at the Oriental Research Institute in Mysuru, Karnataka. The Arthashastra, written in Sanskrit and dating back to the time of the Mauryan Empire, is one of the oldest books on governance, military strategy, politics, economics, justice, and the duties of rulers. Rudrapatna Shamashastri, a Sanskrit scholar and librarian, discovered the original Arthashastra in 1905 among the mounds of palm leaf documents lying in the institute, which was founded by Mysore’s Wodeyar kings in 1891. The institute has been part of the University of Mysore from 1916, and is home to about 70,000 rare palm-leaf manuscripts.  Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose had declared the formation of the “Provisional Government of Azad Hind(Free India)” at Singapore on the 21st Oct 1943. The Provisional Government proclaimed authority over Indian civilian and military personnel in Southeast Asian British colonial territory and the prospective authority over Indian territory which would fall to the combined Japanese and Indian National Army forces during the thrust towards India. The government of Azad Hind had plans for its own currency, postage stamps, courts and a civil code. The PGAH was immediately recognized by more than 11 Countries which included Japan, Germany, Italy, Singapore, Malaya, Manchuria, Mongolia, Russia, Croatia, Thailand, Burma, Manchukuo and the Second Philippine Republic.
